Server Monitoring

CTS currently uses two tools to monitor the servers and services that we manage. Research groups may opt to have their servers monitored as well to receive outage notifications.

Zabbix

We use Zabbix to monitor our servers and infrastructure. By installing Zabbix agents on our physical and virtual servers, we're able to monitor resource usage and provide proactive protection against resource overruns. Zabbix also provides standard reactive alerting of service issues.

The Dude

Our legacy monitoring solution relies on Mikrotik's The Dude, and still provides us backup notifications for service issues.
