Printing Policies


CTS manages all shared copiers and printers throughout the College, and assists faculty, staff, and researchers with configuring and securing network print devices.

Every department has a central copier, as well as other printers for various purposes. Access to these copiers and printers is controlled via domain groups and accounts. If you don't have access to a printer or copier, please ask your department's admin staff to submit a ticket on your behalf to grant you access.

Stuck print jobs are removed automatically once an hour.


Aside from routine issues, CTS does not service printers or copiers. We recommend that all purchased printers by accompanied by an service warranty proportional to the dependability requirements for that particular printer.

Canon Copier Service & Consumables

All leased Canon copiers include all toner and other consumables, as well as a complete service warranty as a part of the contract. Administrative staff are instructed to call Canon for physical issues with the copier (routine jams, broken pieces, etc.) or to order consumables at 800.355.1385. Please have the copier's serial number available before calling.

Toner sales scam

From time to time, departmental staff will receive phone calls from someone claiming that they're from "the warehouse" and they have a few extra toner cartridges for the department's copier that their boss is "allowing" them to sell for cheap. This is a scam. Please do not purchase toner from unsolicited callers.
