MATLAB

Drexel centrally licenses MATLAB for the entire campus, including a selection of widely used toolboxes. Installation on University-owned computers is managed via Software Center in Windows and via Self-Service in MacOS.

Access via Lab Computers

MATLAB is installed on all Engineering computer lab workstations by default. For any research lab workstations, MATLAB can be installed via Software Center.

Installing on personal computers

MATLAB can be installed on personal computers by following the instructions provided by MathWorks. This method uses a MathWorks account to apply licensing and does not require connecting to Drexel's network to run the software. University-owned laptops that are routinely used off-campus may also use this method.

If you have a copy of MATLAB installed that's set up to use Drexel's license servers, you can convert it to a MathWorks account licensed version by running the MATLAB Activation Wizard from the Start Menu and signing in with a MathWorks account when prompted.
